This is what I'm up against
Not to sound too paranoid, but there are some people who do not want me to exist.
The cassock and surplice is, in my opinion never proper for females of any age. Dreadful thought. If there is a schola of women – and I am all in favor! – let them sing from the loft. The issue of choir dress should never come up because they shouldn’t be in the sanctuary.
and again
While I...

I closed my eyes
and remembered the time Dad told me he got arrested. He was so nervous when he had to call his dad for bail. So I wrote this:
I can’t believe I’m sitting here. All I wanted to do was take a walk, there’s no crime in that right? I heard there was something going on at the bottom of the hill and I wanted to see what was happening, that’s all. There’s nothing wrong with that. I think. And then...
Talk about a catch 22
Every time you or I go on facebook, we generate revenue for them. There’s ads on every page, even if they are discrete and “match the decor” of the site. Seeing The Social Network has put things into perspective, even though it’s a movie. At the end of the movie, it says the site is valued at 25 million. Already, that’s wrong. I think the Goldman Sachs deal was worth...
Walking Contradictions
This is me. I am the one who
is insanely spiritual and devoted to my Catholic faith. I love going to Mass, and Altar Serving.
But I also
will constantly question Catholic doctrine. I disagree with the mother church in how it’s run and think it’s telling people to do things.
am uncomfortable with the notion of evangelizing or missonary stuff in general because I think that coming...

5 bucks this is a Hofstra Squirrel
Today we had a snow day at my college, so I was out taking pictures of my campus in the snow. I saw a squirrel in a tree and said “Wow, that would make a cute picture.” The squirrel froze and looked at me. I took the picture, then said “Thank you.” The squirrel scampered away. I swear it posed for me. MLIA

I love Wilson’s expression in this scene. And I want that teddy bear in the background.

This is Who I Am
Sometimes I feel like my inner-English major is taking over my life.
For Example:
I have constantly considered at length what kind of punctuation ends a sentence containing I’m wondering if. I’m 90 percent sure it’s a period because it’s a statement, but the writer in me is like, wait it’s a question, tone wise at least. But we don’t assign punctuation based...

The English Major in me is APPALLED. →
But I can’t not watch. Like a train wreck, but much more benign. The only one getting murdered is Shakespeare, and he’s already dead.
Listening to the State of the Union
and I’ve been tweeting my reactions via Twitter.
I’m a cynic. No matter what Obama says. Two years of “bipartisanship” or the failure of it has turned me into cynic. *shrug* At least I’m honest.
I've got this happy and warm feeling inside. I...
I’ve been getting things done. And I got an email from the honors college: I’m on the highest level - Honors College Graduate with Distinction.
And part of me can’t help but think it’s because of the prayer my campus minister lead over me less than two hours ago.
There is nothing like getting an email from school...
But I still have a library fine I need to rectify. They lost the book after I returned it but before they marked it as returned.
Just came up with this.... and I kinda like it.
Lets throw stuff at the wall, for fun. What sticks is good, and what falls off wasn’t meant to be. It’s what stays up but starts sliding down slowly with an almost indescribable noise, well that’s what makes life worthwhile and interesting.
